• From sandstone with pebbly layers. From faunizone A (zone 2) (for that reason assigned an early Miocene age).

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: coastal; coarse-grained, pebbly, brown, gray sandstone

• Deposited in partially enclosed bay. The fauna has a preponderance of shallow-water forms and many of the genera are characteristic of tropical or subtropical climate.
• Dark gray and brown, coarse sandstone with thin pebbly layers. Beds composed of alternating massive and thinly bedded layers.
